The Decisions -I'Ve Made- Poem by Arthur V. Miller III

The Decisions -I'Ve Made-

As I walk through the black hallways of the dead, I seek only light, yet I see only glowing green eyes glaring at me wishing and thinking I was a fool to walk this day and come into visibility with them

I walk through the hallways chanting, 'Dark days are spoken of me but they are not written except by me'. steady hoping light will shine in these black hallways, so I can find my way.

I do not wish to die, I do not want to cry about this night, but fight my way through the sight of the evil glaring eyes of the hallways.

The day is young yet I am seen as a fool in the mind of these glaring eyes. They've won me over in the past because I was blinded by confinement to those I hold dear. Yes tied down like a dog, but times have changed, so has my disguise in the path of those black hallways.

Candle lights start to gleam as I think of me and I steadily see shadows of many figures behind the glaring eyes. I see the light and the mistakes I've made, the decisions that has affected my persona and lead me through my bad days.

As the candles are completely lighted and the black hallways start to gleam, how could I ever dream that the glaring eyes were me...
