The Demon Within Poem by Ben mcelfresh

The Demon Within

It lives down deep in the dark
Behind fire red eyes
It's tugging and beating, begging for a new start
Because it's afraid to die

But each time he tries to slow and show
I push him down, back away from the surface
Even though he flows through my immortal soul
I won't allow him to bring destruction to the surface.
