Hence the occasion, it was no great surprise
A large crowd had gathered
Excited! hungry for finds
curiosity summa rized
Sometimes some of them simply
bore witness
a little bird told me they burned
to express their profound sense of pity
Wending their way against time going
Between day they saw things flying
And the night when the moon slid down
Into the streets and lanes of the town
The hero wrestled with the dank archetype
her time of fame flamed like has fleeting to pass by
her fear was a penny thrown in a bottomless well
Stormy day rattled and that witch was sent to hell.
Deeply expressed piece....Wonderful thoughts, give the reader much to reflect on....(Do no wrong, and fear no man) .....
hmmm - by overdoing the fear creation by the church, it became necessary to exorcise it, to burn it out of ourselves in an external pyre, with a surrogate to die for us in a dark calvary of deceit. I do not think we live in one pole or other but uncomfortably between them, uncomfortable until we embrace the shadow and see that it was a product of the light and lose that fear, punishable by death.
I like the flow of this story and your way of phrasing images; in particular, curiosity summa rized they burned to express their profound sense of pity going Between day when the moon slid down Into the streets and lanes of the town fame flamed like has fleeting (all the f words) penny thrown in a bottomless well Stormy day rattled
'curiosity summa rized ' You had raised my curiosity with that particular statement, which in turn led me to read the research paper - quite a fascinating subject. Your summarized conclusions regarding 'summa rized' are extremely touching if not a little sad, makes me feel like We are still just scratching the surface regarding the depths of the human mind! well done :)
