The Door’s Open

The fool will seek the shadows still
Will wander in the dark
Though Satan there will cheat and kill
And place on us his mark

Most think the church is stiff and cold
Full hypocrites who pray
Stale traditions from days of old
A place for old and grey

What a surprise when gaining sight
When in God’s house we stray
When first The Lord reveals His Light
And shows us Heaven’s Way

What pleasure, joy and peace is found
Excitement never known
Climbing onward to higher ground
Towards our Father’s throne

Our Father God The King of kings
Creator of the earth
Who lifts man up on eagle wings
And gives us second birth

Washing us clean healing our soul
Raising our spirits high
Constantly guiding towards our goal
To live and never die

Thank God for grace for open doors
For Jesus’ blood and love
For calling me whilst full of flaws
To join His bride above

What worldly king would do the same?
For others still deceived
But bless the day I heard Christ’s name
And by God’s grace believed
