The Dream Poem by Esther Melbourne

The Dream

I had a dream; I had a dream last night
Struggling to come out
I awoke
Covered in cold sweat
Shivering, I looked around checking my surroundings
Checking to see if I was where I had been before I fell asleep.

Trying to recollect my thoughts, my mental state confused
He was after me; he wanted complete control of me,
My soul, my mind my entire family.
Counting every time these dreams haunted me of he
Seemed to happen after members of my family contacted me,
Every time wanting from me,
He not having any other way of entering my being, he crept in while I slept

Spiritually I fight
I fight
I fight
I fight
I begin to pray for guidance, strength lord take me to your promise land
Because to be free is my only destiny
Rebuking the enemy
My words affect him, coursing destruction to his motives

He threatens me...
(I’ll Be Back)
Whilst calling the lords name
He flinch’s in pain, from the power of his name to much for him to bear he
Vanishes

I reject the dreams
I fight, I pray for my spiritual eyes to be opened
Because this fight won’t end until
I am free
Free
Free
Free free free.
