Back Broken Bone

Simply a magnificent poem! I witnessed this act of magnificent cruelty myself many years ago in the Colorado Rockies. The eagle was soaring, soaring, round and round....then....he tucked his wings in and dived...for miles he dived and I was amazed and smitten by the 'mighty force' of that fabulous bird! Beautiful subject matter. Barb
