The Edge Of Dreaming Poem by Greg Davidson

The Edge Of Dreaming

At the edge of dreaming,
Scheming,
Random plays
Of future days.

Quiet nights, not sleeping.
Keeping
Life at bay,
Reality for the light of day.

At the point of crying,
Trying,
As tomorrow nears,
To face those ancient fears.

Mistakes, my thoughts infecting,
Rejecting
Hopes of greater things,
The joys that reminiscing brings.
