The ego that is out of control
Does block out the light from the soul
With the self it does become obsessed
Those with a small ego seem blessed,
The owners of small egos are kind
Flaws in others they do not seek to find
That there's more to life than self they realize
And with others they can empathize
The big egos with self are only aware
And sad to think they are not rare
Obsessed with I, myself and me
Beyond the self they cannot see
In egos there's big and there's small
And little in between at all.
