The End Poem by Chris Newlash

The End

I'll fall forever, feeling free.
I'm letting go of all of me.
And in the end, I'll have no more,
Of myself, just a core.

I'll be nothing, no one you know.
I'll never leave my after-glow.
I've hid myself, can't you tell?
I've hid myself, so very well.
I just waste day after day,
Waiting for all to walk away.
I'll be alone with everyone gone,
I loved myself, but it's been so long.

It's the end, I have no more,
Of myself, soul so sore.
I've fallen forever, never free.
I've let go of all of me.
