The End Poem by Sina Sanjari

The End

Rating: 5.0

you were gone
to bring cups of tea
to drink together and know
how does taste life
what time was it?
summer, Saturday evening?
or autumn Friday morning?
what is the difference?
because
you never returned
with tea tray in your hands

A really well-composed poem Sina.. I really loved how you elevated something as mundane as a cup of tea into something more 'poignant' and perhaps spiritually significant too... Writing something this short, simple, and yet deeply meaningful and profound is not everyone's cup of tea... ______________________ Thank you for sharing...

Vivid imagery and it brought forth a great deal of sadness for me as the anticipation, waiting, longing was very much apart of the soul...Excellent poem.....

I have been touched by the somber tone of the narrative- somewhat tragic. A poignant poem. Could we have a poet's note on the fringe. Thanks.
