The End So Soon

No one deserves to be like a satellite so far from everyone,
Forgotten by those they loved more than anyone.
When everyone couldn't care less about your life,
And you stay and stare at the blade of your knife.

Watching the people you held close before-
With so much hatred and anger boiling from your core,
Staying in the shadows being pushed and shunned,
While aiding a bleeding heart that was gunned.

Staring straight into a mirror asking why-
You shouldn't end it all with your own exile,
For you see nothing more than a person so worthless-
Who will always be miserable at the very best.

A desolate soul crying for a friend,
A desperate kid just waiting for the end,
You sit there with blood running down at least one sleeve-
Thinking you deserve whatever you will receive.

The cuts on your arms show you've fallen apart-
But they are band-aid solutions compared to your heart-
Broken like shards of glass and trampled on,
By none other than those you counted on.

When you were young you never thought you'd die-
Found out you could but too scared to try.
Climbing to the roof to see if you can fly-
You pray to God to tell him you will try.

Now it's time to shut your eyes-
Time to say all last goodbyes.
All battles begun in past-
Were definitely not meant to last.

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
