The Enoch Walk Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

The Enoch Walk

In my anguish I cried to the LORD
He answered by setting my heart free.
And by the power of His Word
Redeemed me from Sin's slavery.

I have hidden Your Word in my heart
That I might not sin against You,
And my journey in life will not depart
From pure steps as Your Word flows through.

Help me no longer to this world conform
But let Your Word activate my Faith,
In Power You work in me to transform
For it's always You LORD, Whom I await.

So set my mind on things above
And not on many vain earthly things,
Guide me with the Lamp and Truth of Your Love
Hold me forever in my finite walking.

Direct my footsteps according to Your Word;
By them You make wise all the simple.
My Comfort is this- Your promises accord
Preserving my life, LORD You are able!
