The Essence Of Life



I see a moon in my uncle' house, when he sits alone
repairing a pair of his brown boots

And it tells one
life has a shadow of its own
even in the silences of the night

Winter finds me
doing what the woman of my life
never thought I could do

I stand strong as an elephant
