The Evening Is Coming (From Coradoba) Poem by Peter S. Quinn

The Evening Is Coming (From Coradoba)

The evening is coming
Like rain clouded drift
Drooping over the trees
Lonely hour’s dark

Every day is in doubt
Of the feelings inside
Going nowhere perhaps
With untried leaves

I have wandered away
Through crystal clear stillness
Over thoughts that come
Through these moments
That comes

Sadness going by
With my heart faraway
Ripping waves like water
Every twinge inside there

Exhausted hours of dark
In the shadows that pass
With life going on
In the corner
Of unturned pages
