Do we ever really notice
the many faces of love?
Not just romantic and sweet
Not just kindness and affection
but powerful and mighty
It is an expression of dignity

Because love never fails
Heals all our wounds
Unites us in harmony
in perfect submission
to love one another

Yes to love one another
is an expression of dignity
because love never fails

In everything I do
Does love lead the way?
Does it reach out to my enemy,
join our hearts in all conflict?
Heal the hurting and wounded
Stand shoulder to shoulder
Or grow colder and colder?

The love of my emotions
can betray my heavenly devotions
and blind me from the need to love
only as enabled by my loving Lord
Because His love never fails
and of dignity never curtails

Yes to love one another
is an expression of dignity
because love never fails
when the Spirit of the Lord
is expressed through our hearts

When the Spirit of the Lord
is expressed through our hearts,
we hold on to one another
Yes we hold on and we carry on
Together in the spirit of love
In all things in the spirit of love
