The Fall Poem by Cristina Ventura

The Fall

And when I do fall from broken grace

I will fall, I will fall

With a burning passion unconfined by time or space

It’ll be the spark that set my world on fire

Taking me past the clouds and then still higher

Oh when I fall

Let every synapse of every neuron be filled with spectacular dancing dopamine

Let every cell of my composition become drunk with mirth

Let the entirety of my existence pour out ardency

Render me lost in the wonder of your soul

When I do fall from this place

I will fall, I will fall

With a radiant smile on my face

My heart will play the quivering high notes of affection

But for now I can only marvel in the grandeur of the symphony

Until I fall, until I fall

In love
