The Father Awaits Poem by Serena Silenced

The Father Awaits

Rating: 5.0

Last night I dreamt I went back into your arms again.
You beckoned me like a long lost friend.
We drifted away with nary a sound.
Family that had once been gone were now all around.
A brilliant light appeared before my eyes.
Beautiful winged creatures were everywhere filling up the skies.
A blanket of warmth enveloped me.
I knew I was on my way to heaven my heart felt free.
In a moment I was there before pearly gates.
A messenger was there he said, “The Father awaits.”
Those pearly gates began to open for me.
Then I heard our daughter’s voice, saying, “Don’t leave me.”
In that split second I was transported back to the hospital bed.
Our daughter was praying over me with a bowed head.
I know I will see you again at the pearly gates.
For now I am bound to spread the message –
The Father awaits.

See all Fathers are not bad...not according to you anyhow! Of course the father that you speak of lets millions of his children suffer in the most horrible ways every day until they finally die and pass away so when you think of things like that Father waiting doesn't sound as good does it?
