The Festival Of Lights, Deepawali Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Festival Of Lights, Deepawali

The Festival of Lights,
Deepawali,
The earthen lamps
With the wicks burning
Decorating
The houses

And far away into
The temple,
People arranging
To worship Kali,
The Dark Goddess,
Kali, Mahakali.

The midnight
Or a little later,
The worship begins,
The worship of Kali,
The Dark Goddess
Symbolic of the Dark Creation.
