The Final Breath Poem by Amber ...

The Final Breath

The doctor rushes in the wife
Cancer will soon end her husband's life
His beautiful children soon come in
Everyone gathers if they are kin

He gives his wife his last testaments and will
And money he's been saving up to help pay the bills
He kisses his children one last time
They don't understand, they are still in their prime

His mother and father have already went
To Heaven is where he hopes they were sent
His sister and two brothers are by his side
His mother in law is somewhere, trying to hide

He starts to shake
This time was real, not fake
His breaths were short, his movements jerky
His mouth open, his eyes bulging

He breathed in
And stopped for a moment
Then his head rolled off to one side
The Angel Of Death came, there was no where to hide

His family grieved for days upon end
They could not tell what was around the next bend
This is the story of a man's painful death
When he took his final breath
