The Final Separation Poem by Sue Stone

The Final Separation

Rating: 5.0

Through the slow but certain
perfusion of
drip, drip, drip
through
days
years
decades
centuries
milleniums.

Infintesimal
time,
Incomprehensible
TIME.

Through
geological architecture
permeating
limestone,
shale,
soil.

It seeps with measure
defined by the brain.
Time
Indifference
Meaning
Sorrow
Distress.

I meet you finally
on your terms.

Anguish,
desperation.

A howling through my life,
I meet you in this wasteland.

We are severed.
I bow,
I bend,
I SNAP with the weight
of
LOSS.

My horizons diminished
I
am
defeated.

Powerful, Sue, but achingly sad.

depressing depressing depressing but very nice oh yeah, did I forget to mention depressing? check out my poem 'just to know you' and then if you want to let me add to your depression you might like 'nowhere to run' and 'after the tragedy'
