The Final Turn Poem by Mubeen Sadhika

The Final Turn

Rating: 4.5

crossing the
seven oceans
to get the
valuable treasure
handing it to
the wizard
in the expectation
to release the
apple of the eye
from the
fiend's mouth

the journey was long
the purple ship sailed
across many nautical miles
cruising in deep waters
in search of a harbour
the dock eluded afar
merciless hurricanes
wrecked considerably
the lonely voyage
had to be continued
another white vessel
waiting to be boarded
one more navigation
blue green black sea
roaring with anger
severe seasickness
makes the state of living
half-dead but
the expedition
went on and on

the Talisman
would save
from the
fiery evil
the bounty
would satisfy
the demon
the dreary
task could
fetch the
desired
outcome

raising and falling
put pressure on the
diaphragm as the pain
throbbed the temple
the charmer mesmerized
the breath to exhale
completely mixing the spirit
in air separating
the pulse and the beat
as the circulation stopped
and the core organ
slipped out of the chamber
the terminal commencement
started the carnival
to celebrate the bloody
forceful jitters out on
the open space
playing to the gallery with a
vociferous notification of
the last respects

Good imagery of a Journey out of 7 Oceans.. as much as any Life might Go through in a Life but hard to realize from a distant perspective. Nicely written Mubeen. Thanks for inviting!
