The Fire Poem by virat joshi

The Fire

the snow blizzard tore the village that night,
the bones hurt and the even souls went cold..sucking the life out
one lonely shadow made her way thru the alleys..
the alley were dark and so was her past..
her lover left her with a love child..
she braved and fought with her fate.. even door of god was closed for her..but the fire within gave her strength
the infant barely sucked on her cold breast under the torn blanket..every step battered her soul..
she pierced thru the snow..to the house outside the village..
at the door her knees crackled and she fell with a soft thud..
old couple hastily dragged her in besides the fire..
she watched her baby being wrapped with her stone cold eyes..
the fire burns..
