The First Gay American Idol Part 1 Poem by Ramona Thompson

The First Gay American Idol Part 1

Rating: 2.0

Top 10
Sad but true
He's come as far as they're gonna let him go
Never gonna make it to the top 5
Top 6 or 7 most likely
Sure as hell ain't gonna be the idol
That would shake up their pure, wholesome image way too much
So please don't be too sad or outraged
When your favorite gay has his dream goes unfulfilled

Everything's already been fixed
Weeks, months ahead of time
No need to get mad at me
I'm just the messenger putting the record straight
It's the judges and the producers who had/have the final say
Poor guy don't even know
He started out as a loser from the very start

Already got a champion all picked out to be crowned
Just the same as last year
I'll let you take your guesses who it is
Just know that no matter how many votes you send his way
It ain't gonna do the poor boy or you a lick of good
Here at Idol, we just toss 'em out anyway and pick who we think will sell best
Letting America believe that their votes help to pick the winner is all just part of the show

I'm done my part
I'm exposed the truth and now I'm sure I'll be fired for doing so
It may be too late to help the bad boy of Idol
But it's not too late to shake things up and make a change
A change for season 9 (If there is one)
Who knows maybe if enough of you get together and speak out
In season 9 we can have our first gay American Idol winner
