The Flower You Laid Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Flower You Laid

Rating: 3.5

The flower you laid has
Not dried up in full
Though
Fading it be:
But
Now it be another dawn
The church peals
And
The churchyard has
A low smile:
The flower you laid
Was of our love
Come! let the fires of
The sub-conscious spark
Again this love
And as by slow motion
The flower you laid
Will rise again
