The Foundation Of Strength Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

The Foundation Of Strength

Inquisitive thoughts like searching winds
Blow through minute corners of the mind,
Swirling conjectures that may rescind
A remnant of last Hope one could find.

The voided sound fills the empty container-
Searching for substance deplorably fails,
Where no Truth or Wisdom has been stored there
There is none to nourish and none to avail.

In Life, one fills it with a daily deposit
Lessons Experience dutifully laid
When the moment comes it will not forfeit
The foundation of Strength that one has made.

'if Your law had not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.'
PSALM 119: 92

'Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not feel faint.'

ISAIAH 40: 31
