The Fount Of My Emotions Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

The Fount Of My Emotions

Rating: 5.0

The sailing clouds in the sky
make me sail along with them.
The burst and shine of colourful flowers
make my face too gleam with them.
The flowing perennial rivers
attract my heart to flow with them.
The saddest catching songs
take me into a realm of sorrow.
The laughing innocent children
make me laugh aloud till tears slip from eyes.
I am to the fore with positive advice
to heal the injured souls.
I weep within failing to save my friends
who groan under a heavy burden of debts.
I beg to God not to empty my purse
when the beggars come to me with hope.
Grief strikes me seeing the wounded mothers
hurtle towards safety to save their kids in war-fields.
I mourn for the suicide bombers
fighting for a smaller free homeland
when the whole earth is open to them.
I smile at the charms the heaven’s charity
not with the guiles to spoil.
“Where is the fount of all these emotions? ”
When this question darted into my mind,
there was the glimpse of that face seen first in life.
