she finds comfort and safety in her imaginary fortress
a place she goes to when life is too painful
the walls she has built enclose and protect her
they are made of rough and textured stone
they are are old and beautiful
what was once a low fence like barrier has become a towering fortress
with arches and towers, gardens and paths
wines of wisteria and morning glory's trail down the walls
blooming and fragrant they have been there for years now
the courtyard has a soft mossy surface
and a bed swinging from a tree is her retreat
soft bellowing fabric encloses the bed
flowing in the gentle breeze
the linens are of a pale yellow and the softest brushed cotton
on a sad day if you listen closely you will a gentle voice singing
'and on this beautiful day I rest, in my swinging bed'
'till one day there will be a heart who loves and deep as mine'
she hides a secret archway
with a large and majestic door
made of rich and sturdy maple covered in vines and moss
invisible to all but the one who dares to enter
there is a secret key to this secret doorway
but on a day long ago she threw it in the ocean with a prayer
Dear God in heaven,
Let no one find this key unless they meet these qualities
1 A man of God, who is equally yoked
2 A devoted son
3.A beautiful Soul
4.A voice that brings me comfort
5.A lover of words & music
6.A man with light eyes and dark hair
7 A kiss that stops time
8 A smile that melts my heart
9 A faithful man
10 A man who will love her as deeply as she will love him.
Upon that day make the fisherman of my dreams catch this secret key on his hook
may he feel compelled to search for the lock it fits
and may she feel secure with him once he enters the archway
Secure enough to love
comfortable enough to laugh
blessed enough to know he is an answered prayer
until that day
she waits in the comfort of her castle
till its Gods will
that man does exist
and he finds the key.
