The Games We Play Poem by elvashira silvertongue

The Games We Play

my old friend i want you back
i want to annoy you with 20 questions i already know is fact
about the universe the earth sky death
i can't take this silence the only thing left.

when i said i was afraid i meant you no harm i did not mean to bring you pain.

for me you were the wisest of all beings to this childish heart. but one little fight, my fears tore us apart.

now my days are filled thinking of you. and endless regret. oh how i want to go back to 20 questions, or perhaps hide and seek? without you immortal life looks bleak-

and bland dear please try to understand. for when i said i was afraid.....i did not know i'd miss the games we play.
