The Gift Poem by Nicholas Hrynchuk

The Gift

I made you a gift,
I asked some friends what to do,
They said to give it to you,
Only they didn't know who you were

I made it in a day,
From things around my home,
That I hoped would say,
I'll never stop loving you

I'm not sure if it's right,
To give it to you,
I'm not sure what to do,
Or if you even still feel the same

You won't see this,
Until the next day,
This job may go remiss,
But who knows
