The Girl Next To You Poem by Ashley Kolakowski

You see that girl next to you in class?
You know she keeps herself high,
She does it to hide from the pain.
She is hooked on pain killers.
She barely touches food.
She is trying to die.
You laugh at her because she wont talk.
She keeps it all bottled in
That girl next to you,
Cuts herself.
She drinks and smokes.
All she wants to do is die,
She can no longer go on.
She takes all of her pills, with her bottle of liquor.
Puts her head down,
And fades away.
