The Girl With The Dog Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

The Girl With The Dog

One cool afternoon, as some light winds blow
'Twas after the rains, so the leaves were clean
Grey clouds hid the sun which now seem to glow
Came this girl and dog walking by so slow
Soon, passing by the lamp post where I lean

And what a charmer she appeared to be
With a skin that's fair and angelic face
Of beauty, she is the epitome
She bewitched...err, rather, be-angeled me
My concept of charm, she came to replace

She's in red short skirt with a rose design
And the dog in leash walks by at her side
She could be, whom Fate will to me assign
To a life with her, I'll gladly resign
So, me and my dog caught up with their stride

Boy-meets-girl, you could guess the love story
So, we'll fast/forward the scenes, one year hence
Now, you see a lovely pair breaking free
They're my dog and her's that she left with me
She was just fourteen! She can't marry thence.
