The game is about to start
Everyone needs to do their part
The referee’s whistle blows
The anticipation grows

A command is yelled by Coach Mike
He says give the ball a good hike
Kenzi kicks the ball hard
The opponent’s defense starts to guard

Julia dribbles the ball fast
She runs past the defense in a blast
The ball is passed to Kayla
“Go to the goal! ” is yelled by Coach Leila

Kayla runs towards the goal
She was definitely playing her role
She gives the ball a hard kick
The left corner of the goal is one she chose to pick

The ball swishes into the net
The goal she has met
The sideline is crowded with fans
They begin to yell and clap their hands
