The Hardest Part Poem by Amanda Saveley

The Hardest Part

Anyone can die...
We could all die tomorrow
And never know it
Yeah, we could all die tomorrow
And never feel this way again
Anyone can die
That's the easy part

Romeo and Juliet,
They thought they had it so bad
But the truth is,
They had nothing
Because they were a couple of whinyass kids
Who had it all
And never worked
They thought their love was so great
That they could not bear to part
But this all-time classic love
Is all shallow
All-physical
And all a lie

Because anyone can die
We could all dropp out at this moment
Without having loved at all
Love life,
Hate life,
In the end,
The pain's the same

Because anyone can die
You,
Me,
The sibling down the hall
The guy down the street
The starving baby in the third-world country
Do good,
Do bad,
In the end,
The fate's the same

But to throw it away
For land,
For money,
For sadness,
For love,

Is unbearably ignorant.

Because anyone can die for another
But the hardest thing to do
Is to live for another
To bear every extremety
Happiness
Sadness
Joy
Pain

Because anyone can die
That's not impressive
To live for someone,
That takes a lot

And sometimes,
It's more than one person can handle.
