The Hawk Poem by Max Reif

The Hawk

Rating: 5.0

The hawk glides
above the massive hill,
alone but not lonely,
small shepherd of the great sky,

moving razor of divide,
bold will expressed
in perfect passivity
as it rides currents —

a wing
and an eye

This is the essence of a mighty hawk...and a poem in its own right. Lovely, parred down work, Max. Raynette

I wouldn't say elegant. I'd say the imagery is not cold...More fierce. And there is a sense of awe I really like in your words. It's a wonderful poem Max! X's and O's
