The Hero Princess Poem by Mary Jesusa Villegas

The Hero Princess

Cases there will be
when you can't share what you see
and a secret, don't be guilty
God knows its your journey.

She was a little girl and she's scared
She is a grandma, but still unprepared
She was a little girl and she's strong
She is my grandma, my mom came from.

I will always be a hero
But I wanted to be a princess
I will always hug my pillow
and dream about what she misses

I will always be a hero
I can't be in a long, white dress
and glass heels where one'd be a mess
nor be up there in hundreds of mattresses
The pea is what she always misses.

I will always be a hero, full of secrets
A hero with heaviness in my pocket
It's not easy to be a hero for their dreams
When all I want to do is to stay inside
my own realm.

Cases there will be
when you can't share what you feel
and your juicy
secret?
Don't be guilty
God bless your
poetry.
