The Hope Of Dawn Poem by Biswajit Basu

The Hope Of Dawn

Thinning are the clouds streaked black and grey,
Tears shall well out of thine eyes no more,
Sorrow I will dismember with smite of my sword,
As the misty dawn ushers in a bright new day.

In the bright moonlit night we will delight,
As it rises over the yonder ancient hills,
Reflecting off the lake softly broken by waves
As comforting warmth suffuses over our chills.

Fear not, for nature ordains,
That impermanence is its predestined path,
Just as good will never sustain
So will bad times surely pass.

Be patient for these sorrowful times,
Will soon be forever gone,
And daffodils shall frolic in the wind once more
To welcome the coming of a bright new dawn.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Happiness and sorrow are cyclic in our universe. Nothing is permanent and in that lies the seed of hope.....
