What do you think this poem is about?

The Hours After…

Merry, Merry Christmas
It is a joyous time of year
The sounds of Christmas
Are reverberating in my ear

Turn off the colorful tree lights
Another Christmas has gone by
The festivities are over
The punch has been drained dry…

Merry, Merry Christmas
Calm permeates the hours after
Time to regain an inner balance
No more hugs or jolly laughter

The opened gifts fill the trash
With wrapping paper and bows
The leftovers are refrigerated
I’ll recline and relax in repose

Merry, Merry Christmas
The holiday guests are all gone
They have returned to their homes…
I pull a blanket to my chin as I yawn.
