The Iceberg Melts - Poem by Farrah Zafar

Words were sad…
Thoughts were mad...
Too sensitive to survive
Lived like a lad.

Alone in the crowd
Temptation for shroud
Shriveled into shell
They sneered, 'Proud'

It took a long time,
to feel the rhyme.

Free of fear,
Ringing Melody, Singing Heart,
Here, I'm all ears to hear.

Who cares for the miles,
Nothing is more precious,
Than the gift of smiles!

Soul's shine, a sweet sign,
Thine mine, Mine thine,
Cheers to Ecstatic Wine!
