The Job Poem by Kathleen J. Shields

The Job

A phone call came the other day
And a miracle is all I can say
It’s amazing how happy one phrase can be
When the intention is right and the moment is free

This’ll be great for me and for you
A life that is easy, upholding and true
We’ll work together as we always do
And out will come something incredibly new

Don’t worry ‘bout me, I will survive
And through this moment I will thrive
For when I’m creating no matter the job
I find myself saying simply “no prob”

For my mind is tunnel within it a door
And everyday I go to explore
And when I return there’s something for all
Sometimes it is big sometimes it is small
Sometimes it’s such I can’t even recall
But don’t worry the outcome, I assure to enthrall!

Hi Kathleen, A very philosophical pen, you have got! ...don't worry the outcome, I assure to enthrall! Do I see a tinge of Bhagavat Gita here? The very famous shloka of Gita reads as follows Karmannye vaadhikarastey Maa phaleshu kadachana meaning Just do the work (karma) entrusted to you; do not worry about the outcome. Enjoyed the poem. Congrats!
