The Journey Poem by Sudip Banerjee

The Journey

The wait was over,
putting black jacket over,
without letting others near,
I stepped out my room.

Though the act was mine,
I couldn't stop my smile,
but the fear I bear,
which made the journey longer.

It was weird a little,
going so far without a word,
managed my position I slept,
Too many wake ups made it longer.

It was a new morning,
physically hungry mentally fresh,
gormandized some 'paavs',
ready to travel little longer.

As the sun left its horizon,
It started poking up ahead,
This time I slept again,
And my eyes opened to you.
I wish the journey would last a little more!
