The Journey Poem by David Miao

The Journey

I walk along this mountain trail
In full force of a whipping gale
Battered by the residing hail
Trudging through muddy vale

But on I go for I see the light
Through dirt and snow it shines bright
Providing vision when I've lost sight
On how to remain a white knight

For the darkness here seeps within
Digging under everyone's skin
Reminding them of their sin
On the path to their ultimate win

But i refuse to be a prisoner of thee
Filled with guilt when it should be glee
Although the top I can't yet see
It shall be reached abiding to decree

For is that not which we seek
A success that will not merely creak
Or simply just make you shriek
Whenever someone dares to speak
