The Journey Between Life And Death Poem by Godspower Oshodin

The Journey Between Life And Death

Rating: 1.6

When old age calls his name
He seems to give no blame.
When death says he's tall
He stopped to answer the call.

Battling on tunnel in a darkly night
Cruel, this immortal shadow, to fight.
Like a baby, he mimics it earthly touch
He patrols with death in a rush.

This journey cool, but painful
Heart will rest, if graceful.
Today to the grave, a new birth
A journey between life and death.

Wow. Thank you so much for sharing your prose with us. I really like this poem because it reminds me of an experience I had when I was a kid. I had died, and was going through the tunnel, and I almost reached the light, but my dad called me back. I hear a buzzing and then I was back home..... I think I shall write about it. But thank you so much for taking me on that journey. It was lovely and not really.

Good use of contrast of life and death and the journey between them, what comes from both and what we must accept. Mel xx
