The 'Joyful Pain' Poem by Abdulmajeed Soladoye

The 'Joyful Pain'

Trying to be 'the man', but couldn't bear to see her in pain
She looked into my eyes and reassured me it wouldn't be in vain
'Sorry...sorry' I repeat, but deep down I knew the message wasn't close to her brain.
She fought vigorously with the pain,
Knowing the ultimate treasure she stood to gain.
My heart grows fonder and heavier that 'Berger' wouldn't be able to carry with a crane.
As if suffocated by the new world, she screamed aloud in pain.
Her body beautiful and soul pure without a stain.
Smiles radiate from her face as the 'joyful pain' wanes.
And to her bossom she held her gain.
As for me, in her eyes I saw my Ameerah (Princess)
