The July Sky Burns Poem by Robert Burgan

The July Sky Burns

The July Sky burns Scorpius, the North
Remembering the good times before I went to war
We became different people, grow together
Then use experience to change our lives forever
Another lost chapter, the July Sky Burns
Melancholy purple in the circles of my passion burnt
Artemis wants to slay Orion as I'm lying
On the rooftop looking at the clouds multiplying
We grow together feel the zephyr on my chest
I mean to suggest that I loved you the best
I still keep track of each fallen robin
Got consumed by a storm induced by my problems
Been almost a year since I've seen Bob in the mirror
All I know is Robert and you're distance is clear
I just want to say that I did feel your pain
I got lost baby it'll never be the same

July Sky burning, stare at constellations
Cherish every moment and every conversation
Apus in my eyes, birds of paradise
Southern Hemisphere I'm lost in the night sky

The July Sky burns,2010 to 2016
Fireworks went off in my chest to invent me
Started so gently caressing your memories
Listened intently supplementary energy
Smothered you, covered you in kerosene, buried dreams
Deep in the hole of every scene we cherished
We had good times, I think about you everyday
Done with my petty ploys to make everything ok
I stole from you, my Grandmother, Dad, my brother
Controlled every person, identity was a cover
Forged checks from your desks, my vortex
Changed every dynamic I worked for my whole life
I regret what I've done little son of a loaded gun
Left shrapnel in your bodies when all was said and done
I'll cease fighting; now I see lightning
July Sky crumbling above me, igniting
The bomb went off and I talked the big talk
Ashes fell on every place that I walked
The July Sky returns, I'll jump inside
Villainous tendencies I just want to be a good guy

July Sky burning, stare at constellations
Cherish every moment and every conversation
Apus in my eyes, birds of paradise
Southern Hemisphere I'm lost in the night sky
