The Kill Poem by Ashton Riner

The Kill

I look around and all I see is you.
I don't want to love you;
You knew that.
To free myself of this..
Love as people call it,
I had to kill you.
Your delicious screams infiltrate my ears.
I loved silencing you more than I love you.
Some may hate me,
But you knew I was crazy.
Oh, how the blade slit your
Wonderful, marvelous curves.
The ripping of sinews pounds my brain.
I am satisfied as you lie
Splayed on the ground,
Your heart in my hand,
Still beating, slower and slower,
Until the heart ceases to beat.
