The Known Poem by Amanda May Moore

The Known

What is it that I have to do for you?
Tell me... I'll see what I can do...
But I won't make any promises just yet
Because I don't want to break them and own regret.

Tell me... Why is it that when I am with you all of my fears are disolved?
But when I leave... there is always a mystery left to be solved.

Tell me... why am I left unresolved?
Tell me...

I've been told and have told someone myself- and after it is said there is no other feeling like it- of the happiness that comes from the known.

So tell me all your known.
Be sure to pinch me first, I'd want you to be certain you're awake.
Nothing worse than thinking one knows that you have the potential to love them and then poof goes your dream because they were never told.

As I await the unraveling of the mystery between you and me, I await your company, and I await your pinching me~
