The Lady Poem by Jeffrey Markle

The Lady

To the dearest of dears
I pen these words
she's a special sight to behold

Like a soft summer breeze
she floated into my days
A number of months untold

From day one she professed
a fervent desire
To forever serve the Lord

Her faith was so steady
her heart at the readdy
To be in one accord

Now then theres that smile
her incredible smile
she had from the day of her birth

Mere words could never describe such a thing
Nor a price tag
Determine its worth

Now her heart is where
she shows that she cares
Each and every day

The person I know
who lives life this way
Her name is Anna-Mae
