The land of the free and home of the brave
so many kids have fought and died
is the world ours to save?

so many would like to see us all in a mass grave
will mankind ever be able to live side by side
the land of the free and the home of the brave

I grew up with Billy and Dave
now American soldiers on a hummer they ride
is the world ours to save?

in Iraq their young lives they gave
following orders with pride
the land of the free and the home of the brave

with terrorist hiding in cave
and living world wide
is the world ours to save?

the answers I don't have but my flag I still wave
many parents have cried
is the world ours to save?
