The Last Dance Poem by Holly Somer

The Last Dance

The last dance of the year
The last chance to shake out the sadness
The last time to own the dance floor
From arrival of March madness
Time to kick off your shoes
Slip and slide on whatever you choose
Take in the spirit breathe out the care
dance like no ones around untill you mess up your hair
Step to the left step to the right
Someone challenge you
You've got to go fight
Don't let them leaving feeling accomplished with a smirk
Make the last move
Making people fall at whistle to your feet
