The Last Date Poem by Aqua Flower

The Last Date

Rating: 4.7

He sipped his drink
looking ahead
he couldn't look her in the eye
listening to her words softly spoken
I love you
I loved you
but I cannot go on
I want love to be every day
I want to belong
you are hurting me
can't you see
the truth is there
even if you care
I loved you
but you should know
that I deserve a better life
so you should go

Letting is difficult, is painful, but if inevitable, taking a clean break gracefully energizes the empty mind. nature doesn't love vacuum; the void will be filled! Best wishes, AF

Letting go can be so painful even if it is the right thing to do.

letting go can be so difficult but sometimes after you let go, you realize you can still fly.

Letting go to something you think is holding you up....when you finally let go, your realize you can fly.

In a world where love has become obscured by new and improved selfish pursuits, true love is extremely hard to find, when commitment is shunned it is best to let go of what is not there, good love deserves better...a really good poem aqua, good to see you writing again
